Enhancement of Community Participation Among Full Time Wheeled Mobility Device Users

About the Study

The purpose of this on-line, survey-based study is to examine items that cause barriers to participation among full time wheeled mobility device users with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).  Active community participation is an important aspect of overall health and well-being of full time wheeled mobility device users and is closely associated with quality of life.  Unfortunately, little information is known about the factors that influence participation and the barriers that limit community participation in individuals with MS.  Through this study we hope to gain a better understanding of the barriers that the MS population faces related to participation.

To participate in this study you must be:

  • A full time wheeled mobility device user (use a wheeled mobility >40 hours per week)
  • ≥ 18 years old
  • ≥ 2 years post onset of Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis
  • Have used your current wheeled mobility device for at least 6 months

The survey will require approximately 45 minutes of your time and you will be compensated in the form of a $15.00 Amazon Gift Card if you finish the survey.

If you have questions and/or have interest in participating in this study, please e-mail the Disability, Participation, and Quality of Life Research Lab (dpqoluiuc@outlook.com)
