On November 1, 2023, Dr. Jaewon Kang, a Postdoctoral Research Associate, delivered a research poster presentation at the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine (ACRM) 2023 Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. The ACRM Annual Conference is renowned as the world’s largest interdisciplinary rehabilitation research event. Her presentation focused on the research project titled “Voice-Activated Digital Assistants to Support Health and Independence,” which received funding from the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR), Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center (RERC) (90 REGE006). This study investigated the perceptions of technology skills and the utilization of Digital Home Assistants and connected technologies among older adults with mobility disabilities.
